Cabo Catoche Tour from Holbox
Is the point where the Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico meet, about 15 miles east of Holbox, approximately an hour's sail. It is one of the The most comprehensive excursions on the island and a favorite outside of whale shark season.
Most tours depart from the pier in the morning and last approximately six hours. They typically include:
- Navigation to Cape Catoche.
- Artisanal fishing with a line, generally taking about an hour.
- Snorkeling in shallow areas, where it is possible to observe fish, corals, turtles, octopuses, lobsters and nurse sharks.
